Residents of Florida can now register to vote online! Florida’s Online Voter Registration (OVR) system allows eligible Florida residents to register to vote at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov. OVR is secure and easy to use, and is available in both English and Spanish. The Florida Division of Elections states that the website is accessible for people with disabilities, and provides another method of registering to vote for Floridians with disabilities.
OVR works the same way as the traditional paper application process, except you can fill it out online and submit the application electronically. To submit your online application, you must have a current Florida driver license or Florida Identification card. Once your information is verified and the application is deemed complete, the local Supervisor of Elections office will issue a voter registration card within five days after receipt of the application.
Disability Rights Florida is currently reviewing RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov to ensure that it is accessible for people with disabilities.
